The story

Marumo Gallants' online pages took time to appreciate their growing fanbase for the support the Bloemfontein-based club received this season.

After flirting with the relegation spots in the first half of the season, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were considered top eight contenders on the final day of the campaign

Since the arrival of Moroccan coach Abdeslam Ouaddou earlier this year, Gallants have become one of the toughest teams to play against in the league, with a solid record of four wins, four draws, and just two losses in ten league games since Ouaddou took over.

Gallants finished in 10th place, level on points with Kaizer Chiefs (32) and just one point off eighth place, Richards Bay.

The support the club has received since purchasing Moroka Swallows and relocating to Bloemfontein before the start of last season has been immense at both the Petrus Molemela Stadium and the Free State Stadium.

The love received from the avid Bloemfontein football lovers hasn't gone unnoticed at Gallants, with the club's Instagram page posting an impassioned message to thank the fans for their support through the 2024/25 season.

Even though the club addressed fans around the country in their messaging, the passionate backing Gallants have received in the City of Roses has been heartwarming to witness.

"To All Our Gallants Supporters Across South Africa. From every corner of the country, every province, every town, and every stadium, we thank you for the love and unwavering support you've shown Marumo Gallants FC this season.

"Your belief in us, your presence, your voices, and your energy have carried us through every challenge and every victory," wrote the Gallants post, with a graphic of the players, Ouaddou and fans attached.

"Whether you supported us from the stands or your TV screens, you made this journey unforgettable. We are proud to have a family like yours. We rise because you stand with us," added the Bloem-based outfit.
