The story

Following his first season at the Soweto giants, the girlfriend of Kaizer Chiefs defender Bradley Cross took to social media to pay tribute to her significant other, praising his resilient character in the process.

Cross joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the 2024/25 season in September after a positive stint at Golden Arrows in Durban.

The 24-year-old managed 22 appearances in all competitions for the Glamour Boys this season, finding himself in and out of Nasreddine Nabi’s starting line-up throughout the campaign.

He also made a minimal but significant contribution to Chiefs' Nedbank Cup run, with his showing in the semi-final against Sundowns being one of his standout performances.

Cross' partner, Dominique, shared a heartening tribute to the ex-Newcastle United player to mark the end of his debut season at Chiefs.

"The 24/25 season has come to an end! Watching your resilience shine through every moment has been such a privilege. So proud, incredibly proud of you and all your hard work," wrote Dominique in the caption to her compilation video of her and Cross’ family supporting the baller at the FNB Stadium.
