The story
After a statement 2024/25 season with Masandawana and a memorable FIFA Club World Cup, Lucas Ribeiro Costa was shown plenty of love at a school's futsal tournament in Turilandia in Santa Helena, situated in the Brazilian state of Maranhao.
Ribeiro, whose star profile has risen in Brazil after his impressive performances for Sundowns at the CWC, was given a guard of honour from the young participants at the Turiland School Games 2025 – also known as JETS (Jogos Ecolares Turilandenses).
After receiving his special welcome at this school’s tournament held at a Handball Court, Ribeiro took his Gucci sneakers off to get involved and showcase his skills to the young ballers.
Videos of the versatile attacker enjoying his time back home in Brazil have been doing the rounds on social media, with the skilful and powerful South American earning a well-deserved rest following a 20-goal, 13-assist season in all competitions for Masandawana.
