The story
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana international Siphiwe Tshabalala is networking with the beautiful game's most prominent figures at the FIFA Players Executive Programme event in New York.
As stated by FIFA a couple of months ago, the Players Executive Programme is a new course that is designed to help players make the transition to a new life once they retire easier and offers them the possibility of finding a new role within the game.
The programme also allows more players to make the move from the pitch to the boardroom.
"The programme, which will place a special emphasis on mental well-being, recognises that a football player's career is short, is always at risk from injury and that only a few achieve financial independence during that time," read a LinkedIn post from FIFA, adding:
"At the same time, having dedicated their lives to their football careers and their performance, few are prepared for what comes next."
Shabba, who told Sunday World early last month that his retirement from professional football is imminent, shared snaps of his experience at the Players Executive Programme event in New York.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder seems to be on his way to obtaining a Diploma in club management and showcased snaps from the session, where he soaked in a wealth of wisdom from former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.
