The story

For the first time in 13 years, adidas and Liverpool FC proudly presented the club's new Home and Away jerseys for the 2025/26 season on Friday.

Having previously teamed up through some of Liverpool's most iconic eras from 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012, the three stripes return to provide players and fans with cutting-edge performance technology and lifestyle apparel from this season.

The new Liverpool FC home jersey showcases the club's essence in its purest form. It features a dark strawberry red colour as the base, with the iconic Adidas three stripes in white running down the sleeves.

Prominently displayed on the chest is the classic Liver Bird crest, while the clean-cut crew-neck collar provides a modern, athletic silhouette. The bespoke ribbing on the cuffs enhances the overall look, reflecting the rich LFC legacy.

The jersey will be complemented by red shorts and red socks. The socks include the Adidas three stripes at the top and feature an 'LFC' sign-off above the Adidas logo on the shin.

The Away jersey features a colour scheme reminiscent of past LFC away kits, showcasing a cream off-white base with black and red accents.

The crest prominently displays the Liver Bird inside a shield, which draws inspiration from the original main stand at Anfield Stadium, built in 1906, and redesigned to reflect the shape of the stand itself.

The Away jersey comes with two options for shorts and socks. The first option includes black shorts paired with cream off-white socks, while the alternate option features cream off-white shorts with black socks.

The on-field version of the kit is available to purchase for R2,299, while the fan version is R1,499 with both available to purchase from today at selected adidas retail stores, online at www.adidas.co.za/liverpool and key retail partners.

"This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas. Since announcing the partnership in March, there's been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come," said Ben Latty, Chief Commercial Officer at LFC.

Arriving alongside the Home and Away kits are a Pre-Match jersey, Z.N.E. football Anthem jacket and classic adidas Samba sneakers.

The Pre-Match jersey takes inspiration from the iconic Shankly Gates seen outside Anfield Stadium, with a black base adorned with an intricate gated pattern in deep red.

The Z.N.E. football Anthem jacket is made from soft double-knit fabric and equipped with a spacious hood featuring a 'YNWA' sign-off in tribute to Liverpool's famous slogan.

The bespoke LFC Samba trainer features a white leather upper, three stripes in red and the LFC crest on the tongue. It's rounded off with a 'YNWA’ sign-off in gold on the side.

To celebrate the launch of the new jerseys, adidas and Liverpool FC released a film titled "Your Dream. Our Reality." The film follows a young girl as she encounters the new Liverpool jerseys, leading her on a journey that blends fantasy and reality.

This journey includes a dream dinner with iconic players from both the past and present, such as Ian Rush and Mohamed Salah. It also features a re-creation of the famous adidas advert with Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso, showcasing current players from both the men's and women's teams.

The girl then takes a tour of Liverpool FC's trophy successes with Sir Kenny Dalglish, culminating in a climactic scene on the Anfield pitch.

The launch film is further complemented by player and product imagery inspired by the dream dinner scene, as well as custom video extensions and behind-the-scenes photography, which will be shared across the club's, adidas', and players' social media channels.
