This past weekend, PSG were crowned European champions for the first time in their history, and it was all thanks to goals from Hakimi, Doue, Khivicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu. They join an exclusive list of players who have found the back of the net in the tournament’s final.
Somebody who, however, did it with extreme proficiency in the competition’s showpiece event is Cristiano Ronaldo. The iconic Portuguese forward holds a plethora of records when it comes to the tournament, and this is one of them.
Not only does he have the joint-most appearances in the competition's final since it was reformatted and renamed to the UEFA Champions League in 1993 — with six appearances, but he also has the most goals, with four. He scored in 2008 with Manchester United, and in 2014 and 2017 with Real Madrid.
He was also in the final in 2018, but he did not score in it for Los Blancos — he left that honour for Gareth Bale. The Welshman came off the bench on that occasion in Kyiv to grab a brace against Liverpool, first with a long-range stunner before scoring a legendary bicycle kick to put the game beyond doubt.

Bale is the second-most prolific scorer in finals, having also scored in the 2014 final in Lisbon against Atletico Madrid, when Real won their 10th title in the competition.
