Real Madrid has officially announced the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.

The defender announced he would depart his boyhood club after 20 years and while he did not reveal his next club, it was an open secret that he wished to join Los Blancos.
In a statement on the club's website, Madrid announced an agreement had been reached with Liverpool.
"Real Madrid CF and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement that will keep Trent Alexander-Arnold at our club for the next six seasons, from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2031," the club said.
In a statement of their own, Liverpool announced that it had accepted an offer from the Spanish side to allow the England international to leave the club early.
"The full-back is now set to join the LaLiga club ahead of the expiry of his Reds contract this summer," it said.
"Liverpool will receive a fee for his services, with the deal to be concluded once the window opens on June 1," the club added.

According to sources from ESPN, Real Madrid will reportedly pay a fee of €10 million (R202 million) to secure the right back's services to be granted early release to join his new side ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
