The football season is still ongoing as Chelsea and PSG compete for FIFA Club World Cup glory this weekend. The expanded club competition has extended the season, meaning more games for some teams but a well-deserved break for those not participating in the tournament.
The transfer window officially opened on 1 July, and many players have returned to their clubs for pre-season training, as managers and directors continue working hard to complete new transfers.
Among the notable transfers completed this week were French defender Theo Hernandez's transfer to Saudi side Al-Hilal from Italian giants AC Milan.
The 27-year-old spent six seasons in Italy and, despite his desire to stay with the Rossoneri, he left the Milan side after failing to negotiate a new deal.
Several Premier League sides also completed transfers this past week, including London sides Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners signed Brentford's Christian Norgaard, while Tottenham Hotspur secured the signing of West Ham and Ghana midfielder Mohamed Kudus.
