Jose Riveiro has reportedly compiled a list of seven Al Ahly players he considers untouchable in the current transfer window.

The Red Devils are rumoured to be on the verge of losing star striker Wessam Abou Ali. The Palestinian forward is believed to have attracted serious interest from Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC, as well as Major League Soccer outfit New York Red Bulls.
The towering attacker left a strong impression with his exploits at the FIFA Club World Cup, where he netted a hat-trick in Al Ahly’s final group-stage match against FC Porto. According to Foot Africa, it is several players who featured in that thrilling 4-4 encounter that the Spanish tactician is determined to keep at the club.
Among those reportedly deemed untouchable by Riveiro are Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Marwan Attia, Aliou Dieng, Trezeguet, Zizo, and Achraf Bencharki. Emam Ashour is also said to be on the list, despite playing only a few minutes in their opening match of the tournament against Inter Miami.
With another gruelling season on the horizon, Al Ahly are preparing to compete on both domestic and continental fronts. Riveiro appears intent on keeping his core group intact as the club aims to contend on all fronts.

Preparations for the 2025/26 campaign will reportedly take place in Tunis, where the record African champions are set to face CS Constantine, ES Sahel, and one yet-to-be-confirmed opponent.
