Result: Chelsea 3-0 Paris Saint-Germain

Date: 13 July 2025

Venue: Metlife Stadium

The Blues were boosted by the return of defender Levi Colwell and Liam Delap from suspension, although the latter starts on the bench as Joao Pedro continues in the attack after his brace in the semi-final.

Chelsea looked lively in the early stages and should have been ahead after eight minutes when a well-worked passing moved ended with Pedro teeing up Cole Palmer, who sent his effort inches wide of the upright.

While PSG had a couple glances at goal, the Blues took the lead on 22 minutes when Malo Gusto raced into the box before picking out Palmer, who took one touch before sending a calm finish into the far corner from the edge of the area.

Th lead was doubled six minutes later in similar fashion to the first as Palmer carved out some space on the edge of the box before curling one into the bottom corner to complete his brace.

PSG were left shell-shocked before the break as Chelsea bagged a third goal on 42 minutes when Palmer turned provider to play in Pedro, who lobbed the on-rushing Gianluigi Donnarumma for his third goal at the tournament.

Luis Enrique's men came out firing in the second half, as Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia went close to reducing the deficit but Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez pulled off a couple vital saves in the opening ten minutes.

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca responded with a change of his own for the final 20 minutes by withdrawing Pedro for Delap, who nearly made an immediate impact by carving out some space outside the box and unleashing a powerful strike that forced Donnarumma into a fine save.

The game ended on a sour note for the French outfit when Joao Neves was shown a straight red card for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair as the Blues saw out the remaining stages to clinch their second trophy for the 2024/25 season.
