According to GiveMeSport, the Premier League champions are aiming to sell midfielder Kalvin Phillips next year.

The midfielder joined the Citizens from Leeds United in 2022 for a fee of €49 million (R937.6 million), but has managed to play just 31 times for the club.

Phillips was sent out on loan to West Ham United for the second half of last season, and is spending this term on loan at Ipswich Town.

The Manchester club's plan is to get his reported weekly salary of €180 000 (R3.4 million) off their books ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Phillips' struggles at City have seen him lose his place in England's starting XI, having previously been a regular for the Three Lions.

The Englishman has a deal at the Etihad Stadium until 2028, but is likely to be moved on within the next 12 months.
