This past weekend, Paris Saint-Germain put on an attacking masterclass when they defeated Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena to claim their first-ever Champions League title.
It was the biggest final win since the competition was rebranded as the Champions League in 1993, as Les Parisiens’ attackers found the back of the net at will, with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, Achraf Hakimi and Senny Mayulu all getting on the scoresheet.
It is unlikely that the club will make any drastic changes to their attacking line following their long-awaited European triumph. However, their opponents Inter are likely to conduct serious introspection regarding their squad. According to The Sun, one of the players they’re keen to sign after their Munich embarrassment is Rashford.
The Englishman enjoyed a strong second half of the 2024/25 campaign while on loan at Aston Villa, and with the Villans unable to trigger the option for a permanent deal, it now appears that the Manchester native is looking for a new club. A future at Old Trafford seems unlikely under Ruben Amorim.
I Nerazzurri themselves collapsed at the end of the season, with the Champions League loss compounded by narrowly missing out on the Serie A title to Napoli. This will likely spark a squad regeneration, with players like Rashford expected to arrive.

It has also been rumoured that other Red Devils, such as Rasmus Hojlund, are of interest to the Italian giants, so it remains to be seen which of United’s attackers—if any—will make the move to San Siro.
