This past weekend, Krunoslav Jurcic etched his name into the annals of Pyramids’ history as he led the club to their first-ever African premier club title, defeating Masandawana 3-2 on aggregate in the Champions League final.
The Croat is now undoubtedly an iconic figure in the club’s lore, having also delivered their first-ever trophy last season by winning the Egyptian Cup.
The 55-year-old will have another opportunity to add to his legacy when the club come up against Zamalek in the 2024/25 Egyptian Cup. However, regardless of the outcome in that encounter, an Al Ahly legend believes that the Ljubuski native should leave the club.
According to Transfermarkt, Amr El Hadidi played for the Red Devils for five years between 1993 and 1998, winning five Egyptian Premier League titles during that time.
And while Jurcic himself has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell during his time in the nation’s capital, the former defender believes his stint with Pyramids has run its course and that he has nothing left to offer the club.

"Jurcic has nothing new to offer Pyramids, and his technical capabilities are not suitable for the Pyramids team, which is looking forward to winning more championships in the coming period,” the ex-Egypt international told Al Masry Al Youm.
