A shock report has linked Bayern Munich superstar Robert Lewandowski with a big-money move to the Premier League.
With the 32-year-old's contract in the Bundesliga only set to expire 2023, there is talk that he could soon push for a new deal.
According to German publication Sport Bild, the Pole's agent will apply pressure on Bayern to either offer him a new contract or sell him to a team that can afford his wage demands.
It is further claimed that the only teams able to afford Lewandowski are clubs from the Premier League, although at this point it remains uncertain as to whether or not there is actual interest from teams in England.
Despite his age, the former Borussia Dortmund forward is one of the most lethal strikers in world football, and has scored 36 league goals in 26 matches so far this season.
Across all competitions, Lewandowski has found the back of the net on 43 occasions in this campaign, while he struck 55 times in the 2019/20 season.
Having joined the Bavarians on a free transfer from BVB in 2014, the forward has since amassed an incredible 16 trophies, and he could add yet more before next season.
In terms of the teams in England tipped to move for forwards in the next transfer window, Manchester City and Liverpool could both be looking for strikers, with the former set to lose Sergio Aguero, whose contract, which expires in June, will not be extended.
Chelsea are also said to be keeping their options open amid Timo Werner's struggles in front of goal this season.
