Manchester United Announce Jadon Sancho Signing

Manchester United have officially announced their first signing of the 2021/22 season.

Man Utd's Six-Man Transfer Shortlist Revealed?

The Red Devils have finally confirmed the future arrival of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, after the German club announced that they had reached an agreement over his sale.

The Premier League giants said on their website that the England winger will finalise his move after the 2020 UEFA European Championship.

Dortmund announce Sancho departure

On the German club's website, a statement reads: "The player Jadon Sancho is about to move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United Football Club. Both clubs and the player reached an agreement on this today. If the transfer is realised, Manchester United will pay BVB a fixed transfer fee of EUR 85.0 million.

"The contractual details now have to be co-ordinated and documented. The formal processing of the transfer is also subject to the successful completion of all necessary medical tests and examinations, a co-ordination procedure with the player's previous club and the proper and timely processing in accordance with the provisions of the FIFA Transfer Matching System."

News broke on Wednesday night that the two clubs had finally reached a deal, with the winger now expected to undergo a medical before completing the switch.

Sancho was believed to be close to joining United in the transfer window ahead of the 2020/21 season, but ultimately remained at the Bundesliga club as the Premier League giants refused to meet BVB's demands at the time.

The England winger will sign a five-year deal with the 20-time English champions, after scoring 50 goals and assisting a further 64 strikes in 137 matches in four years for Dortmund.
