Bayern Munich have confirmed a surprise signing from the English Championship.
The Bavarians have completed the signing of Omar Richards from Championship outfit Reading on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old fullback has penned a four-year deal with the German giants and will wear the No. 3 jersey.
— FC Bayern Munich (@FCBayernEN) May 27, 2021"My move to FC Bayern is a great honour for me. A dream has come true. I'm proud to be wearing the shirt of one of the world's biggest clubs," Richards told the club's official website.
"I hope I can help the team continue to be successful in the future. My thanks to the management at FC Bayern for their trust. Our conversations were very convincing. I can't wait to be on the pitch for Bayern. Mia san mia!"
Richards becomes Bayern's second signing for the 2021/22 season, with the club having secured RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano's signature earlier this year.
