Al Ahly players are enjoying some time away from football before the club meets again for pre-season training later this month.
After the club's disappointing FIFA Club World Cup campaign, there will be plenty of changes expected at the Red Devils ahead of Riveiro's first season in charge.
According to Egyptian news site Mobtada, Riveiro has reportedly revealed to the club's management that he wants Ceramica Cleopatra right-back Ahmed Hany to join the side.
Previous reports indicated that Riveiro had called for defensive reinforcements at left-back, right-back and centre-back, and it appears as though the 28-year-old is his priority.
The links to Hany come after the former Orlando Pirates boss had allegedly rejected the signing of Ahmed Hany Eid from Al Masry, with the Spaniard instead feeling the Cleopatra player holds a technical advantage over his Al Masry counterpart.
