The Red Devils are currently on a pre-season break following their disappointing FIFA Club World Cup campaign where they were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
As the players enjoy time off, Red Giant boss Jose Riveiro has been hard at work alongside the club's management to ensure the players are mentally and physically ready for the 2025/26 season.
Among the issues to address are player departures. According to Al-Masy Al-Youm, journalist Saif Zaher revealed that Riveiro reportedly made a u-turn on four Al Ahly players.
"Everyone said that Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Hussein El Shahat, Omar Kamal, and Aliou Dieng were for sale to Al Ahly," Saif Zaher said.
He added: But Riveiro has closed the door on all this talk and said there will be no sale or departure, and he refused to let go of the services of the four players permanently, whether through sale or loan."
