The league match between the White Castle and Red Devils was postponed after Al Ahly withdrew from the game over the officiating crew.
Previous reports indicated that Zamalek and Pyramids requested that Al Ahly be deducted three points for failing to honour the match.
According to Al-Masry Al-Youm, the EFA reportedly announced that it would issue a points deduction at the end of the season.
The EFA reportedly postponed the decision until 15 May as it had not given reasons behind the decision to uphold the end-of-season deduction.
The League Committee, instead, decided that Al Ahly would be considered the losers of the match and the three-point deduction would be implemented immediately.
Al Masry report that a source within Pyramids reportedly said the club was upset over the appeals committee's decision.
"There is a great deal of anger within the club over the Appeals Committee’s decision to postpone," the source said.
The alleged source added: "We’re considering issuing a statement today to clarify our stance on the decision, as Pyramids were expecting a definitive ruling today in order to determine the schedule for our upcoming league matches."
"As far as we're concerned, the delay is clearly aimed at waiting for the results of our direct rival’s upcoming matches," the source said.
