Mokwena oversaw his second friendly in charge of The Mouloudia, and this time, he was able to complete the match after his first game ended due to police interference.
The reigning Ligue 1 Professionelle champions played out a 2-2 draw against league rivals CS Constantine, and Mokwena was happy with the team's performance despite the result.
"We are in the second week of our pre-season and we have introduced some new concepts to the way we are playing and, slowly, the players are adapting, and that was very important for us," Mokwena said in a video.
He continued: "It's also good to see some of the young players doing well, youngsters like Hamadache and Anateuf doing well, so we are happy with the kids and the team's adaptation to new concepts.
Mokwena's first league game in charge of The Doyen will take place against CR Belouizdad, managed by Mokwena's former PSL rival Sead Ramovic, as the two will re-ignite their fierce rivalry. However, the Johannesburg-native remained focused on getting his players ready for the new campaign.
"Camp has been good," the former Wydad AC boss said. "The players worked very hard on things. The group and the chemistry are good and the energy is positive but we still have a lot of work to do."
Mokwena noted that his side had started their pre-season training late, but they have put the work in to make up for it.
"We have to catch up physically and technically, we have to do a bit better, but it was good today against a good opponent," he said.

"We should have won the game. We made two mistakes with the goals [we conceded], but we scored two good goals, which I'm happy with, and we will continue working," he concluded.
