A defender, who has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs, has reportedly made a decision on his future ahead of the new season.
Full-back Mohammed Hussein is on the verge of extending his stay with Tanzanian Premier League giants Simba SC.
The Simba full-back was seemingly on Chiefs' wishlist as an alternative to Stellenbosch defender Fawaaz Basadien, as reported by this website last month.
However, the Guardian have now reported that Hussein, known as Tshabalala, is set to put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal with the Tanzanian outfit.
The report claims that club official have made Hussein's contract extension a priority and talks between the two parties are progressing.
“The discussions with Tshabalala are ongoing and there’s a strong possibility he will sign a two-year extension," a source told the Guardian.
"The management sees him as an important asset, and his performance over the years speaks volumes.”
The 28-year-old left-back has become an important player under Fadlu Davids and was key in the team's run to the CAF Confederation Cup final, where they lost to RS Berkane.
