Downs & Pirates Dominate PSL Awards

The winners of the PSL awards have been confirmed for the 2024/25 season, as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates dominated.

PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza confirmed Mamelodi Sundowns as the winner of the Chairman's Award in his speech. Sundowns participated at the FIFA Club World Cup after bagging their eighth consecutive Premiership title.

Sundowns attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa was the big winner on the night, walking away with the PSL Footballer of the Season and Betway Premiership Players' Player of the Season award. The Brazilian, also walked away with the Premiership top scorer award. 

Pirates were also big winners on the night, as Sipho Chaine, Relebohile Mofokeng, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Makhahlene Makhaula all bagged Betway Premiership awards. Mofokeng and Mbekezeli Mbokazi won MTN8 and Nedbank Cup awards respectively.
