Kylian Mbappe made his first start of the tournament for Los Blancos against his former side, joining Vinicius Junior and Gonzalo Garcia in the attack while Ousmane Dembele was also given his first start for PSG.
PSG got off to the perfect start when Desire Doue won the ball in the Madrid box, which allowed Spanish midfielder Fabian Ruiz to sneak in and fire home from six yards out on six minutes.
The lead was doubled two minutes later as another Madrid error proved costly after Dembele pounced on Antonio Rudiger's poor attempted back-pass before calmly slotting past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
While Los Blancos struggled to carve out chances of their own, PSG went on to grab a third goal on 24 minutes as a swift counter-attack ended with Achraf Hakimi teeing up Ruiz, who showed his composure to hold off one challenge before firing past Courtois.
It was a disappointing first half for Xabi Alonso's charges, who were second best throughout the stanza as they struggled to deal with PSG's press and pace on the counter-attack.
With PSG comfortably leading, coach Luis Enrique opted to withdraw Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia for the final 30 minutes as Goncalo Ramos and Bradley Barcola were brought on, while Los Blancos threw on Luka Modric, Brahim Diaz and Eder Militao.
The changes did not give Madrid the desired effect as they continued to enjoy more of the possession, but they failed to trouble PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The European champions did go on to grab a fourth goal with four minutes left on the clock as Barcola did well to set up Ramos, who turned well in the box before rifling into the back of the net and rounding off an emphatic win.
