The Spaniard, who moved to Al Ahly from Orlando Pirates toward the end of the 2024/25 season, has struggled since taking over the 44-time Egyptian Premier League champions.
Riveiro is still in search of his first official win as Al Ahly boss after a winless FIFA Club World Cup campaign and an opening-day draw against Modern Sport on Saturday evening, but now Al Ahly have decided on Jose Riveiro's future with the club, according to Ngm Al-Gmahir.
Ngm Al-Gmahir claim that Sources close to the Red Giant revealed that the club would not decide on Riveiro's future based solely on his performances at the Club World Cup or his first game.
The source confirmed that he would be given the necessary time and support to establish himself and get the team back on track and back to winning again.

This decision reportedly comes after there was opposition against deciding Riveiro's fate and evaluating his time with The Red Devils, as the club will wait for the team's results to improve before making a decision.
