Etienne Eto'o has enjoyed a promising start to his football career so far as he hopes to follow in his father's footsteps.
He enjoyed his most successful season of his career so far in 2024/25 when he scored 30 goals in all competitions for the Rayo Vallecano B team, which earned him a call-up to the first team for the upcoming season.
However, it appears as though his rapid rise could be slowing down quickly as the club is reportedly looking at the possibility of loaning out the 22-year-old for this season, according to AS.
The publication reported that Rayo Vallecano are looking at loaning Eto'o to a club in the Segunda Division (Spanish second division) as several sides have reportedly asked about the striker's situation and have kept close tabs on him.
Despite his impressive showings in the B team and his subsequent first team call-up, Eto'o is likely to get considerably less game time this season, which the club feel would hinder his growth.

Eto'o played a recurring role during The Red Sashes' pre-season campaign, where he played against Belgian side Genk and Dutch outfit PEC Zwolle, but was left out of the squad against West Bromwich Albion and Atletico Madrid, promoting further speculation that he is likely to be moved out on loan this season.
