Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards are believed to be set to sign a promising left back, the Siya crew has been informed.

According to Siya sources in KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo, 20-year-old Karabo Victor Ramela, who plays for Umsinga United in the lower leagues, is on his way to join Leopards and has the potential to be a top player.

The sources added that Ramela is fast, skillful, and energetic, and will be very helpful to Leopards in their quest for promotion back to the PSL.

"It's unfortunate that we are talking about a player from the ABC Motsepe League moving to the Motsepe Foundation Championship but I can tell you this is the future of South Africa. Umsinga United are losing him but I can tell you that Black Leopards will benefit from his services. If you know David Nyathi in his day that's how Karabo is (going to be). Quick, skilful and energetic both in defence and attack. Leopards have signed a very good left back here who can play as a left winger as well," the Siya source told Soccer Laduma.

A second source stated that since Black Leopards are looking at fighting for promotion to the PSL this season, a player like Karabo Ramela will play an important role.

"He is only 20-years-old but can do much better than most older players and Leopards have seen that he will help them in their quest for promotion. It's not easy in the Motsepe Foundation Championship but with players like him and the other players they have in the squad, they stand a chance for promotion this season," the second source observed.

This publication reached out to the player's agent, Tebogo Moloi, who confirmed the player's move to Leopards.

"Yes, the deal is as good as done. He has got his clearance and is on his way to Leopards. This is a good move for both the club and the player," Moloi told the Siya crew.

As Ramela joins Black Leopards, his promising talent adds a boost to the team's ambitions for promotion to the PSL. Fans will be eager to see how the young left back contributes to Leopards' success this season.
