Amid the mounting speculation that Rulani Mokwena is on the verge of losing his job at Wydad Athletic Club, an executive at the club has reportedly set the record straight.

It has not been an easy start to life in Casablanca for the 37-year-old. The record Moroccan champions are currently in ninth position on the log after nine games played, eight points adrift off the top of the table.
Wydad's latest 1-0 defeat to 10-man RS Berkane saw the Johannesburg native need security protection upon leaving the stadium, as fans started throwing projectiles after suffering their second straight loss in the topflight.
The three-time African champions endured their worst league campaign in a decade last season and have so far struggled to return to their best form having won three, drawn two and lost three to start the season.
It has led to rumours suggesting that Mokwena's job may be at risk amid the bad run of form, however, a source within the club's hierarchy has informed Le Site Info Sports that the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager retains the full support of the club, and he is not poised to be sacked any time soon.

Speculation has surfaced recently suggesting that Tunisian tactician Faouzi Benzarti could return to the club, but the same report states that there is no such thing and that the club will be patient with 2023/24 African Football League winner.
