The story
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana star, Siphiwe Tshabalala took to Instagram to share a snap he took with legendary Kwaito group, Trompies.
Shabba and fellow Betway Premiership ambassadors, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Lebohang Mokoena and Lucky Lekgwathi spotted with three out of the four Trompies members, Mandla "Spikiri" Mofokeng, Eugene "Donald Duck" Mthethwa, and Jairus "Jakarumba" Nkwe.
The aforementioned football legends attended a 10-year birthday event for Polokwane's Energy FM, where Trompies got the crowd going with their smash hits from yesteryear.
Since forming in 1995, the "Sweety Lavo" hitmakers provided the perfect soundtrack to parties, family gatherings, and weddings. The embodiment of Kwaito culture that likely inspired the music tastes of Soweto-born ballers like Shabba.
