A key talent identification figure who has played a crucial role in developing young players at a Soweto giant has reportedly moved on to a new challenge with another PSL club.
Insiders close to Orlando Pirates and the official have indicated how the Alexandra-born football analyst has apparently left the club to join another PSL side.

The sources have added that Mxolisi Mngomezulu is believed to have left Bucs and will join Marumo Gallants where he will be understood to take over as their chief Scout and Analyst.
"What I can tell you is that apparently after scouting Masindi Nemtajela from Marumo Gallants to Orlando Pirates, Gallants showed interest in him and they started talking to him. It's believed that he has already left Pirates for his new post at Gallants. Yeah, he is a very good analyst and scout mainly when it comes to youngsters and upcoming talent," the insider told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, a second source stated that most of the youngsters promoted by Pirates this season were recommended by Mngomezulu.
"He was the link between the junior teams and the senior team. Yes, those young players are good but there was supposed to be somebody monitoring them and assessing them. That's what he did very well. That's why Marumo Gallants have poached him as well," the second source revealed.

Amongst the players who he helped get promoted are Mohau Nkota, Mbekezeli Mbokazi and Simphiwe Selepe, to mention but just a few.
Soccer Laduma contacted Gallants and Pirates for comment but there was no response at the time of publishing this story.
The departure of Mngomezulu, who was often compared to the late Stanley "Screamer" Tshabalala for his eye for talent, represents a significant behind-the-scenes shift for both clubs. For Pirates, it means finding a new talent identification specialist who can maintain their successful youth promotion pipeline, while for Gallants, it signals an intent to strengthen their scouting network as they look to establish themselves as a competitive force in South African football.
The impact of such moves often becomes evident only in subsequent seasons as recruitment and youth development strategies evolve.
