The story
Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana striker Zakhele Lepasa endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign after failing to make a single competitive appearance for the Buccaneers.
Lepasa, who made positive strides in the 2023/24 season with 10 goals in 22 appearances for Ezimnyama Ngenkani, missed the entirety of last season due to a reported ankle injury.

In a heartfelt post, Lepasa looked back on one of the few positive moments from the recently concluded 24/25 season, where he was able to bring his son and niece onto the FNB Stadium pitch when Pirates defeated league winners Mamelodi Sundowns, 2-1, on 16 March, courtesy of a Relebohile Mofokeng brace.
"This year, one of the most beautiful moments was holding the hands of my child and my niece as we stepped onto the field that once breathed life into my dreams of playing football," pondered Lepasa, who shared a gallery of snaps with his young son and niece
