With the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup draw set to happen on Thursday, the Siya crew looks at what pot Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns will be in.

The competition will have 32 clubs participating from around the world and they will be divided into eight groups of four. Sundowns are in pot four, with Lionel Messi's Inter Miami who have qualified for the competition as hosts.

Pot four also features Al Ain (UAE) and Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) representing Asia, while Seattle Sounders (USA) and Pachuca (Mexico) are representing North America. New Zealand's Auckland City are the only team representing the Oceania Football Confederation.

Sundowns qualified for the Club World Cup by reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League last season. Al Ahly, Wydad Casablanca and Esperance are the other African representatives.

In pot one, there are Europe and South America's top teams. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain represent Europe in pot one, while Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense, and River Plate are the South American clubs.

The second pot consists of seven European clubs in Juventus, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, FC Porto and Benfica, with South America's Boca Juniors, from Argentina, forming part of it.

African clubs Al Ahly, and Wydad Casablanca who are coached by South Africa's Rulani Mokwena, are in pot three, which also features Red Bull Salzburg (Austria), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Ulsan Hyundai (South Korea), Monterrey and Club León (Mexico), and Botafogo (Brazil).
