Following Cristiano Ronaldo's free-agent departure in November last year, Netherlands international Wout Weghorst arrived as a stop-gap loan option until the end of the campaign.

While the forward has endeared himself to fans with his hard work and energy, it is widely reported that United will aim to sign a top striker in the next window to spearhead Ten Hag's attacking contingent.

Here are the six strikers Ten Hag has reportedly asked United to try sign:

According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen are the manager's two priority targets, with both players enjoying productive scoring seasons at their respective clubs.

Kane has struck on 23 occasions across all competitions this term so far, while the Nigeria international has netted 25 times in just 29 appearances.

Elsewhere, the 20-time English champions are keeping tabs on Portugal international Goncalo Ramos, who saw his profile grow after scoring a hat-trick for his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The 21-year-old's goal tally for the season at club level currently stands at 24, with several high-profile sides across Europe monitoring the young striker's progress.

Ajax Amsterdam's Mohammed Kudus is also said to be on United's radar, having hit the back of the net on 18 occasions since the 2022/23 campaign got underway.

Eintracht Frankfurt and France forward Randal Kolo Muani, who has contributed to 30 goals so far this season, is another being eyed by the latest Carabao Cup winners, along with eight-goal striker Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta.

Similarly to Ramos making his name on the international stage, the 20-year-old Danish frontman has seen his status rise after scoring five goals in his first two starts for Denmark during the recent international break.
