Manchester City failed to reclaim top spot in the Premier League after dropping points at Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
Phil Foden and Aymeric Laporte were recalled to the Citizens line-up after the win over Arsenal, with Riyad Mahrez and Nathan Ake dropping to the bench.
It took a while for City to break down Forest, but they did so in fine fashion as Bernardo Silva opened the scoring on 41 minutes with a sumptious strike from just outside the area.
City had a few chances to extend their lead, with both Erling Haaland and Foden squanderin golden chances in the second half.
The visitors were made to pay for that miss as substitute Chris Wood equalised in the 84th minute by turning home Morgan Gibbs-White's cross.
Chelsea 1-0 Southampton
Chelsea's struggles in the Premier League continued after going down 1-0 to Southampton at Stamford Bridge.

The game was seemingly headed for a draw until Manor Solomon got the winning goal for the visitors in the 88th minute after being set up by Carlos Vinicius.
