Pirlo: What It's Like To Manage Ronaldo

Andrea Pirlo and Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Juventus manager Andrea Pirlo has revealed what it was like to manage Cristiano Ronaldo during his time Italy.

Ronaldo played one season under Pirlo in Turin, where the club missed out on the Serie A title but did manage to win the Coppa Italia.

The 37-year-old surprisingly left Europe to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr after parting ways with Manchester United in November.

Ronaldo criticised United manager Erik ten Hag, the younger players and the club in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

Pirlo, meanwhile, says he had no issues with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner during his short stint at the Allianz Stadium.

"For me it was easy to work with him. He was a good guy, very professional. He wanted to play every game, to score every game," Pirlo told Daily Mail.

"We didn't have a problem but football changes very quickly. Age also. Maybe he had a problem with another team, but for me it was a good experience."

Ronaldo has scored five goals in three matches for Al Nassr this season, which included a four-goal haul on Thursday night.
