Zwane Praises Hat-Trick Hero, Backs Du Preez!

Zwane Praises Hat-Trick Hero, Backs Du Preez!

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says he's delighted that Caleb Bimenyimana bagged a hat-trick but is confident Ashley du Preez will get among the goals soon.

Bimenyimana scored three penalties as Chiefs came from behind to defeat Steve Barker's charges 3-1 at the DHL Stadium.

Du Preez had a frustrating afternoon against his former side, but Zwane remains hopeful the Bafana Bafana striker will find the back of the net soon.

"Ja, look I'm happy that he is scoring goals which is quite important and not only him, I also wanted 'Ash' to score one or two today, because he needs that going forward," Zwane told SuperSport after the game.

"And I know he's gonna score one and going forward he'll feel comfortable and start regaining his confidence.

"I'm just happy they are scoring goals, it doesn't matter where they are coming from, from set-plays, but for the fact that we created a number of chances in open play, we would have taken them, we couldn't but from the penalty spot, we took them, then yes."

When asked why Bimenyimana was taken off shortly after completing his hat-trick, he added, "But after scoring the third goal I was more worried about Caleb, he was on a yellow and for us to keep him out of the field is because by nature he is aggressive, so he could have easily picked up a second bookable offense and then we miss him in the next games.

"I had to take him out, bring on 'Mshini' [Nkosingiphile Ngcobo] to slow down the game but also knowing that we still have Keagan [Dolly], [Kgaogelo] Sekgota and 'Ash upfront.

"So he can easily connect with them to score more goals and we actually dropped the tempo, which I'm quite not happy about, we could have easily scored four goals, five, six goals today because you're gonna need these goals come the end of the season.

"But there's no doubt, we played against a good team, it's just that today I think we were by far a better team."
