One of the most notable is goalkeeper Iker Casillas. Once widely regarded as the best shot-stopper in the world, the former Real Madrid star has 24 titles to his name, and played more than 1 000 competitive matches.
Manchester City legend Vincent Kompany also features in the team, along with former Liverpool and Barcelona star Javier Mascherano, who announced his retirement earlier this week.
There is also a FIFA World Cup winner in Andre Schurrle, who tormented defences in a Chelsea shirt at one point in his career, while another German forward, Mario Gomez, leads the line.
