Former Everton forward Gerard Deulofeu has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Blaugrana, and his future could be resolved by the end of this week.
According to Spanish publication Sport, the player's agent is expected to fly out to Italy in the next day or two to discuss terms with Serie A sides Inter Milan and Napoli.
Barcelona are apparently asking for a fee of between €18 million and €20 million (R267 million and R296 million) for Deulofeu, but it seems the two Italian clubs are only willing to take the winger on loan.
The 23-year-old is apparently set on joining Inter in this window, but their offer has not been deemed good enough by the Spanish club's board.
Blaugrana manager Ernesto Valverde is hoping a deal will be worked out soon, having recently admitted that he would like to work with a smaller squad.
"I have always preferred to work with smaller squads," he said, as quoted by Sport.
"I don't want to be working with 20-odd players because then you have to leave a lot of people out and rotate more. And we have the B team, too, where we can also go for players."
