New Kaizer Chiefs signing, Siyanda Xulu has insisted he didn't leave FC Rostov because of the racism scandal or financial issues, but because he wanted to return home.

Xulu's former Rostov coach Igor Gamula was involved in a racism row after claiming he already had "enough dark-skinned players" when linked with a new signing back in November 2014.
The Russian side was reportedly also in some financial turmoil, but Xulu insisted neither issue played a role in his decision to return to Amakhosi.
"No, no. The financial issue and the racism issue was not a problem with me," he told Soccer Laduma in an exclusive interview.
"The only problem that I had was an injury and that I didn't want to stay for that long in Russia.
"I decided to come home and play and get into the Bafana team because I am still young.
"I believe Russia was a priceless experience for me, but I wanted to come back home, play and get a decent team in Europe again."
