How Chiefs Feel About Pitso Linked To Pirates, Any Nabi Regrets?

Despite not appointing Mosimane, the Siya crew has been informed that Amakhosi are satisfied with their choice of hiring Nasreddine Nabi even if the legendary South African coach joins a rival club.

Insiders close to Chiefs have stated that while Nabi may not have achieved instant success in his first season, it is believed that he has inspired a number of positive changes to the team.

"There was that time when the club was not sure about coach Nabi's availability and that was when coach Pitso (Mosimane) came into the picture. But for Chiefs, Nabi was always the first choice. You have to remember that the club wanted Nabi even before he went to Morocco so it's not like they regret signing him. He is the one they wanted from the beginning even before coach Molefi Ntseki. So they are happy with their choice," the Siya source stated.

A second insider underlined how Chiefs are unfazed by Pirates' potential targeting of Mosimane or any other coach.

"What the club is believed to be looking at is how they are playing and what positive changes the coach has brought to the club since pre-season. They believe that this is his first season with new players and a new environment and looking at the way the team is playing, although they are not totally happy (with their position on the PSL table) there are some positives and they believe he can improve the team. So, whether coach Pitso joins Orlando Pirates or any other team, Chiefs are happy with what they have," the second source stated.

Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for an official comment on the subject but the club had not responded before this article was published.

The Siya crew has reported that keeping Riveiro is Pirates' first choice, but they will normally be prepared for alternatives just in case he decides not to extend his contract at the end of the season.
