Dinha who was known for his non compromising tough tackling feats in the heart of the Buccaneers midfield in the early 2000's, believes that his former side have the bravado to beat Sundowns at their home stadium, but on the other hand cannot overlook the quality and tenacity of the current league champions.
"This is going to be a sensational match I tell you," expressed Dinha to Soccer Laduma.
"Normally these kinds of matches come later in the league, so it's a treat that we get to see Pirates play Sundowns so early on in the season."
"What will make this even more fascinating is the fact that both clubs have not had good openings to the league and will want to go out there and prove a point to their supporters."
A midfielder himself in his playing days, the Bucs legend commented on the current players mending the midfield positions of the Buccaneers.
"Issa Sarr and Oupa Manyisa will have to quickly cultivate their relationship if Pirates is going to be successful this season. Sarr has the quality, but its key that he and Manyisa play with understanding, that's what led to the success of Pirates when Andile Jali was around," added Dinha.
"I also feel that Thandani Ntshumayelo is one of the most underrated players in the country. He is a hard worker and integrals to Pirates."

"With all my heart I want Pirates to win, but I know it won't be easy. As long as there are goals I'm happy, however I do want Pirates to win," concluded Dinha.
