Benni McCarthy has spoken on his plans for the team as the January transfer window approaches.
The 43-year-old Bafana Bafana legend was appointed at the helm of AmaZulu FC last week, returning to Mzansi's top-flight after more than a year away from the beautiful game.

McCarthy hit the ground running in his first game in charge, securing a 3-1 victory over Chippa United in a DStv Premiership clash on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, McCarthy was asked about whether or not he will look to dip into the transfer market when the window opens on January 18, next year, to which he explained that he needs more time to assess his current squad but feels that his squad is big and good enough already.
"Well obviously in two days time, you can't assess and I am also not trigger happy, I am also not quick to want to dive into the transfer market and see what's there. I think we have a massive and big squad and if I call myself a coach I should make these players better," McCarthy told the media on Sunday after the game.

"So instead of looking to buy a finished product, I can make the good players - that we already have - the real deal and the finished product. I want to work, I am not in a hurry, I am not hungry to dip into the transfer market and see what players we can get I think we've got a really big and good enough squad but if there's a necessity when I make my assessment, I will speak to the chairman but at this point in time, it doesn't look like there is anything that I need. I just need to make these players fitter, better and hungry like they were today."
