FC Cape Town's captain, Andile Khumalo, an ex-U20 international, has allegedly been released from the club. In Soccer Laduma issue 1014, we carried the story that the 26-year-old midfielder had refused to comment on the issue.
However, his new agent, Siya Mareke, confirmed that the former AmaZulu man was in the process of looking to join another team for next season.

"I didn't get the reason why Andile left," said Mareke. "But it shouldn't be a problem to find an outfit which suits his style of play. He's a good player whom I consider a marvel to watch."
When Soccer Laduma asked the club's head coach, Johnny Ferreira, why Khumalo was no longer on their books, he replied, "Good question!"
With Errol Dicks' team still not certain of avoiding the drop, this move raises more debate about what might be allegedly happening behind the scenes.
