Ajax Cape Town Have Issued An Update On The Latest Happenings And The Club's Position Regarding The Court Cases
Ajax Cape Town have accepted that they will be campaigning in the National First Division next season.    Read: Ajax Give Update On Ndoro Saga   As revealed yesterday, Judge Denise Fischer granted the NSL/PSL leave to appeal her latest judgement which saw Advocate William Mokhari's award of docking points from Ajax for the ineligible fielding of Tendai Ndoro, set aside.    This subsequently saw Ajax withdraw their section 18 application and their application to interdict the start of the 2018/19 season.    Ajax's CEO Ari Efstathiou has since revealed that the club has accepted to campaign in the NFD next season while also confirming that Head Coach Muhsin Ertugral will remain at the club.    "We are forced to take our place in the NFD unless something happens during the appeal process. But the process can take anything from 4-12 weeks and if we are successful which we think we would be. Then what then? And to be frank, it could have happened to any other club as it happened to us, Pirates, Chiefs and I trust that it would have followed the same procedure."   "As a club our commitment to take this to the highest point, we have taken all the way. Unfortunately, there is no longer any further we can go without creating more issues. It is now in the hands of the court. We will do our best to navigate out of the NFD. We have to look at major changes in the entire club. You can obviously understand the financial implications are huge. We will bring this great club where it should be."   Efstathiou also added that they will be making several changes to their squad including transferring players out.    "There will be a few players forced to transfer. There is a few players who are heavy on the wage bill. We will not make major changes but will bring in reinforcements. If our intention is back in the PSL we need players who are good enough. We can't play with our MDC team if you understand what I'm saying. It is the hardest thing that I ever had to do."
