PSL Golden Boot Race Has A New Leader
While Tendai Ndoro led the Absa Premiership golden boot race since the start of the season, he now finds himself bumped down to second place in the rankings.
The Zimbabwean smashed home 11 goals in the first 11 game weeks for Orlando Pirates this season and skyrocketed to the top of the charts and seemed likely to finish the campaign with at least 20 goals.
However, Ndoro has bagged just one goal since scoring his 11th and has seen many of his colleagues from around the league close the gap.

One such player is Cape Town City’s Lebogang Manyama, who has now overtaken the forward as the league’s top scorer. Manyama grabbed his 13th of the campaign in the defeat to SuperSport United, maintaining his claim for the Player of the Year award.
With just a few games left to play this season, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to catch up with Ndoro or Manyama, however, there are a handful of players who will be hoping to give it a good go.
Gabadinho Mhango and Rodney Ramagalela have scored nine for Bidvest Wits and Polokwane City respectively, while Jeremy Brockie is breathing down their necks after the Kiwi scored his eighth of the season on Monday evening.
Who do you think will end up as this season’s Absa Premiership top scorer?
