Orlando Pirates midfielder, Thandani Ntshumayelo has voiced that Saturday’s highly anticipated Soweto Derby between Bucs and arch-rivals, Kaizer Chiefs, will only be thought of after tonight’s match.
The Buccaneers are in Bethlehem for their midweek league encounter against Free State Stars, and despite the enticement to have one eye on their mouth-watering clash against the Amakhosi, 'Bibo' has assured the Bucs faithful that all their attention will be on tonight’s league game.
“I know a lot of fans are already looking ahead to Saturday’s Derby, however tonight we still have a job to do against Free Stars,” Bibo told the Siya crew.
“We have an objective to win maximum points against all the teams we play and, we are not emphasising other games above others.”
“We realise that Stars are always a difficult team to play against especially when they are at home, however we have a plan for them,” added the 24-year-old.
“After tonight’s game we will then switch our focus on our match with Chiefs, I’m sure they will do the same for their match against Ajax. Tonight is all about us and Stars,” concluded the Bucs midfield enforcer.
Bibo will hope to deliver the same kind of performance he displayed against Tornado FC in the Nedbank last 32 where he netted twice and provided an assist.
The match will commence at 19:30 from the Charles Mopeli Stadium.
