The presence of Daine Klate in the Bafana Bafana squad preparing for the 2018 World Cup qualifying game against Senegal has been welcomed by Thabo Mngomeni.

The legendary former Bafana midfielder says he is puzzled as to why Klate hasn't been getting senior national team call-ups in recent times.
However, Mngomeni is pleased that the Bidvest Wits player has finally got the recognition after a long time without it.
"We have to win this match, but I just hope the pressure that is placed on the coach is not transferred to players because, if that happens, we will have problems. This will depend on how the coach handles the pressure, but I suppose by now Bra Shakes should be able to deal with the pressure. When players are playing away from home, they can express themselves easily because there is no pressure.
"There's more pressure when they are playing at home and maybe pressure is less when they play away. Then we have Daine Klate back in the team and, to be honest with you, I don't know why he was ignored for a very long time. At the moment he is one of the players with vast experience and means business when he plays. When he has the ball, you can see he is trying to do something, so I don't know why he was ignored," said Mngomeni.
