A source close to the Siya crew has revealed that Eagles want to loan the keeper from Downs for the 2016/17 season to bolster their goalkeeping department.
The Siya crew reported last month that the club had exercised the one-year option on Ngobeni’s contract and will see his contract come to an end in June 2017. However, the 37 year-old shot-stopper is free to negotiate a deal elsewhere with Eagles wanting the keeper at their club.
With Denis Onyango being the preferred first choice, and Kennedy Mweene & Wayne Sandilands being ahead of him in pecking order, Ngobeni is unlikely to get any first team action under Pitso Mosimane and the club could send him out on loan for game time.

It has been previously reported by the Siya crew that the shot-stopper attracted interested from Bidvest Wits, Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars leading up to Downs extending his stay at the club.
