Although Mamelodi Sundowns striker Rodney Ramagalela will have to wait a little longer before playing for the side, the player is said to be making progress in his recovery from injury.
The former Black Leopards player joined Sundowns along with Raymond Monama and Tiyani Mabunda in June.
The trio played for Lidoda Duvha in the 2012/13 season. A Soccer-Laduma source in the Sundowns camp confirmed that Ramagalela is still working with the medical team on the sidelines.
“Rodney was disrupted by injury on his arrival at Sundowns. But the good thing is that he is working on returning to action. He is doing his rehab at the moment,” said the source.
Ramagalela scored nine goals in 26 league starts for Leopards last season. The 24-year-old will hope to regain his fitness to return to full training with the team.
He will be competing with the likes of Cuthbert Malajila and Katlego Mashego for a starting place in Pitso Mosimane’s team.
