Rankings: Sundowns Still In Top 10, Chiefs Drop

Mamelodi Sundowns are still currently in the top 10 of the African club rankings, while Kaizer Chiefs have shifted a level below, this according to the ranking system on footballdatabase.com.

The Absa Premiership made its return last week after the international break, where both the Brazilians and Amakhosi returned to better their standings on the log.

However, the results didn’t exactly go Chiefs' way, as they extended their winless run in the Absa Premiership to four games, currently placed at sixth on the league standings.

Sundowns, on the other hand, managed to salvage four points out of their two latest encounters, currently joint on points with Chiefs, although with three games in hand.

However, how are these two sides ranked in Africa?

Sundowns are currently the ninth club in the top African club rankings on Footballdatabase.com’s system, while Amakhosi are at 16th place.

Bidvest Wits are currently 16th on the rankings system, while SuperSport United follow in 41st place and Orlando Pirates at 57th.
