This weekend brings some titanic footballing events, not the least of which is Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Kaizer Chiefs. The international break has left more questions than answers as to what kind of form the two teams are in. It is said that Sundowns will be donning their famous star for the first time this weekend. How do the supporters see that affecting the game?
It seems that many in the Khosi Nation are brave in the face of the daunting challenge of facing the African champions.
"We are children of Kings and Chiefs, while you parade your star, we possess Glamour. Whilst your Guns run ablaze ours are raging, we are the trendsetters of South Africa baba. we fear no-one, we make other Teams. Battling Chiefs still remains the ultimate for others you included, check and mark my words, the day we bring the star to Mzansi, you shall be given a chance to see what it will really means to this land, we are the chosen one's whether ya'll dig the fact or not....the star thing is not even gaining momentum on its own ya'll need to keep reminding us , as you know should you be quiet for a day or two, and the hype will die,,, remember you are not our rival, you are just competition meaning the only time we activate our potential to 100% is when we play pirates but with u 90% should be enough.." - Jkrade
"You need to be reminded that the star will be attached on the kid not on players foot. so we are going to play Sundowns that we know. We cant be threatened by the star, we are going to Pretoria on Saturday to win. Rise Khosi Rise" – Shizniz Wa Lekhosi
"Look, the Egyptian giants I guess they have more than six stars but they are being knocked out from champion league by a team without a star, that's part of football there is a win or lose." - Msandrotic
How do you see the game playing out this weekend?
